So we decided on a shorter drive to Conwy, and head up onto Conwy Mountain, and have a wander across to Penmaen-bach, then onto Alltwen.
We had Holly the water dog with us as usual today, she loved her swim in the Conwy Estuary, and again we were treated to seeing Carneddau Ponies, these beautiful little ponies that roam the hills in this part of Wales.

Great Britains smallest house, on the quayside of the Estuary

After food, Hollys favourite thing....swimming!!

We just adore these Carneddau ponies, they just epitomise this harsh rugged landscape

Back down by the Estuary as the afternoon light starts to fade, and our first walk of 2013 draws to a close.

Brilliant Gary, just brilliant, and well worth the effort for the views....What a start to the New Year.
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant 2 walks to start the New Year with. And good practice for the big one! Those ponies are gorgeous. Am I right in thinking there are white goats on some of the hills near there, or have I made that up!
ReplyDeletethere are mountain goats around Snowdon and the Glyders and there are white Kashmiri goats on the Great Orme at Llandudno - gorgeous to look at but oh do they smell pungent!!!!
